We are nearing the end of this migration. A few firms have asked for extensions for GUS and APS, but the overall effort has been good. To sum up where we are:- All firms should be accessing the CME for 3270 (GUS,TES etc.) via Telnet:198.212.155.249 (Prod)
- All MQM access should be IP - 198.212.155.249 (Prod) and 198.212.155.241 (Test).
- All data files should be sent and received via the FTP server- 198.212.155.45. If you still have RJE in place because you are running parallel this week, please note that we have started removing RJE routing after firms begin using the FTP server. To improve the efficiency of this process, please call Client Management when you have finished your parallel process.
We are still not getting a good response from firms who need to provide IP addresses and print queue names for VPS IP printing. We need to test the network connections and test sending to your print queues, well before the April 8th deadline of migrating your print jobs and Infopac print jobs from RJE to VPS. Please , please, e-mail this information to Farris Oweimrin as listed below ASAP. For the GUS and APS batch files, you can request an extension to April 1st. It must be submitted in writing to kmccoy@cme.com. For GUS files, note the 3 options: 1) FTP Gets, 2) GUS-MQM, and 3) GUS RJE format (160 byte records) sent via MQM. For APS files, there will be 2 options: 1) FTP Gets and 2) APS RJE format (80 byte records) sent via MQM. Monday April 8th VPS Printing - You will access print files, using VPS software that will allow the CME to PUT files to an IP printer or AS/400 print queue, or print server.
- AS/400 users must ensure that their print queue is set to allow a record length of 133 characters.
- The Brand or Model of the printer must also be provided.
- Port 515 on your network must be open to listen for VPS files.
- If you print via Infopac, you will receive those reports via IP.
- Please be prepared to provide the CME with the print queue name(s) on your AS/400 or server and your IP address(s).
Forward VPS printing information to foweimri@cme.com. Completed Migration- Disconnect RJE and Leased Lines, Return CME Modems If you have completed your conversion, you can disconnect your old leased line and modem connection to the CME. The circuit belongs to the firm, but the modems belong to the CME. Please return our AT&T Paradyne modems to us, so that you are not charged for the hardware. Furthermore, please let us know when you have disconnected the line from the modem, so we can remove the old profiles in our databases Old modems should be returned to CME Client Management, 10 South Wacker Drive, 2-North Tower attention Karen F. McCoy. If you are walking it over, please dial extension X3421 at the reception desk and we will receive your equipment. If you have questions about your current status, are requesting an extension or for additional information please contact Karen F.
